The 2nd Annual "Crawlo de Mayo" took place on Saturday, May 6. Despite scheduling conflicts for a large number of regular crawl participants, total participation was in the neighborhood of 45 people (it gets kind of hard to keep count after a while, you know). In other words, about one-half of the group consisted of new crawlers.
We were able to raise a total of $472, which will be donated to the Wildcat Wildlife Center of Delphi, IN. The WWC nurses injured and orphaned animals back to health prior to releasing them back into nature or placing them in a loving home. This was the first crawl devoted to four-legged and winged creatures and the generostiy of the participants was greatly appreciated.
After limited discussion among the organizers, it appears that the next crawl will most likely be held to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. A date has not been set, so keep checking the site for more information.
